Just uploaded the updated version of this prototype where I fix the code to work with rectangles of any two sizes. Right now, this only works in 2D. However, if you wanted to play around with this in 3D, all that needs to be done is repeat the max and min determination code for the z axis like how it's done for the x and y axis.
I originally wanted to do something more interesting with this idea, but I'm struggling to find practical use cases for it. Anyways, time to work on my next prototype.
